How much does it cost to be the go to house in the summertime? Well the average to Open a pool is about $400 for pool company to come out and clean it up and get it ready for summer. But in reality I have a pool and if you learn a few simple tricks it could end up being only be about $400 for the whole season!
Keeping it clean and the chemicals balanced is the key. Brush the sides and vacuum regularly and don’t forget to shock weekly. You local pool store will test your water for free when you bring them a water sample. They will run a diagnostic on the water and tell you exactly what and how much to put in. They know their stuff. Its my go to resource when I’m struggling with a tinge of green ( because it was over 90 degrees for 5 days and I forgot to put in extra shock or chlorine tablets).
So In my opinion if you live in the South you’ll be real glad you decided to purchase that house your wife found with that pool among her dream homes. Just say YES….you’ll thank me later. Cannonball!
